<Orchestra for Sustainable Atmosphere // OSA> is the solo project of Oliver Langbein, musically known as the singer of the EBM formation <Tribantura>, which released the EP <Lack of Sense // Legacy // Getting Hurt or Killed> in 1987.
After his time at Tribantura, Oliver Langbein began working in the field of tension between architecture and art in the group <office for subversive architecture // osa>.
Since 2011 he is professor for scenography at FH Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
In 2015 he started a new music project. This time as a solo project in which he composes, plays, records the music. Singing plays only a small role.
Some of the tracks were used for projects of office for subversive architecture. Others for videos of projects created by his students at the FH Dortmund. In 2021 the idea arose to publish these videos but also the tracks not used for videos.
Under the project name <Orchestra for Sustainable Atmosphere // osa> A Tryptichone of 3 albums, some EPs and a series of music videos will be released starting in 2023.
<Orchestra for Sustainable Atmosphere // OSA> is electronic music with a focus on expressive 5 dimensional MPE MIDI controllers, such as the Seaboard Rise and the Linnstrument and expressive electronic drums and percussion instruments like the Korg Wavedrum and the ATV aFrame.
