Zur Dortmunder Museumsnacht wird am Dortmunder U ein Fassadenmapping gezeigt, das von einem meiner Kurse im Master Szenografie und Kommunikation in Kooperation mit dem Storylab kiU entwickelt wurde. Das Mapping dauert ca 12 Minuten und wird alle halbe Stunde gezeigt. Dazwischen gibt es vier Slots von ebenfalls etwa 10-15 Minuten zu der ich die Musik live beisteuern werde:

„Authorität vs. Freiheit“ ist eine interdisziplinäre Projection Mapping Performance, in der Tanz, Musik und visuelle Kunst verschmelzen. Im Zentrum steht die Auseinandersetzung mit den Gegensätzen von Autorität und Freiheit, dargestellt durch eine Tänzerin (Agnetha), einen Musiker (Oliver Langbein) und Visual Artists (Fabian Bentrup, Flor de Fuego, Laurin Bürmann). Mittels Motion-Capture-Technologie werden die Bewegungen der Tänzerin in Echtzeit auf einen digitalen Avatar übertragen, der als Projektionsfläche für ihre Gefühlswelt dient. Die visuelle Gestaltung ist in zwei kontrastierende Welten unterteilt: eine autoritäre, statische und dystopische Bildsprache mit rechteckigen Formen, einer monochromer Farbwelt und langsame, sich spät entfaltenden Animationen, sowie eine freiheitliche, organische und utopische Ebene mit floralen Mustern, fließenden Formen und polychromen Farben.

Dortmund Museum Night September 20, 2025

During Dortmund Museum Night, a facade mapping will be shown at the Dortmunder U, which was developed by one of my courses in the Master’s program in Scenography and Communication in cooperation with Storylab kiU. The mapping lasts about 12 minutes and will be shown every half hour. In between, there will be four slots of about 10-15 minutes each, during which I will provide live music:
“Authority vs. Freedom” is an interdisciplinary projection mapping performance that blends dance, music, and visual art. At its core is an exploration of the contrasts between authority and freedom, represented by a dancer (Agnetha), a musician (Oliver Langbein), and visual artists (Fabian Bentrup, Flor de Fuego, Laurin Bürmann). Using motion capture technology, the dancer’s movements are transferred in real time to a digital avatar, which serves as a projection surface for her emotional world. The visual design is divided into two contrasting worlds: an authoritarian, static, and dystopian visual language with rectangular shapes, a monochrome color palette, and slow, late-developing animations, as well as a liberal, organic, and utopian level with floral patterns, flowing shapes, and polychrome colors.
